Insignificant
Walking down the gravel driveBy mist shrouded fence posts
Where black crows fly out of the grass,
Fly out of your head,
Because it's just a memory.
A blur of colors,
Loud and clear, still unspoken.
Suffocating in silence
My voice drowned out
By the words screaming in my head.
It's just a memory,
Why is it in my head?
How can something so small
Something that is nothing,
Mean everything to me?
A glimpse of the past
To never be again,
Now in the moment
What will be, could be,
To become a memory.
All the mistakes,
What words couldn't take
To always be with you
For now and forever
Stuck in your mind
Always a memory.
It's just a memory,
Why is it in my head?
How can something so small
Something that is nothing,
Mean everything to me?
Something so small
Insignificant,
Is always there.
Long gone but still in my life
Still defining, still here.
It's insignificant.
No longer real
But always here.
It's just a memory,
Why is it in my head?
How can something so small
Something that is nothing,
Mean everything to me?
It's just a fucking memory,
It's all that I have.
