Sleep Tight Among the Stars
Sleep tight among the starsTonight is the night,
theres no turning back.
I've made my decision,
I've found what I lack.
You enter the room,
everything is black.
When you switch on the light,
you scream with all your might.
I'm lying there,
a mess of blood and hair.
Mangled limbs,
and lungs with no air.
I stumble through,
the bedroom door.
I don't want to feel like this,
not anymore.
I find some pills,
no, those won't do.
a gun?
don't have one.
mabye a knife,
to end this life?
You call 911,
they come right away.
The woman on the phone,
says it will be ok.
You watch and wait,
while they try to revive me.
You cross your fingers,
ask your self why I lied,
about why I went home early toinght.
Into the kitchen,
to find the right one.
The blade feels so cold,
and second to none.
A prick on the finger,
just to test.
Nice and sharp,
that will work best.
1, 2, 3,
slice, slice,
now we wait.
oh how nice.
Your still on the phone,
and the woman says,
not to panic,
that its all in your head.
They're still trying,
hard as they can,
to put me back together agian.
Just a few minutes more,
and I'll be cold as ice.
Try to remember,
my advice.
In my letter,
I said goodbye.
That I will always love you,
but i had to make the sacrifice.
Its getting dark now,
no more thoughts in my head.
I'm almost there,
I'm almost dead.
They look up,
pity in their eyes.
They tell me words,
that I hope are lies.
I drop the phone,
and run to your side.
Your eyes are blank,
no soul inside.
I keep trying,
as they pull me away.
"She's gone",
they tell me,
"There's nothing you can do".
I fall to the ground,
I cry and cry,
asking you,
why, why, why.
Then i see the note,
it explains it all.
Why you did it.
What made your spirits fall.
2 years later,
I've come back.
Remembering the memories,
I tried so ling to forget.
Theres the spot,
upon the floor,
where they pronounced you dead,
forever more.
I unfold the note,
that I've kept for all these years.
I set it with flowers,
and shed more tears.
I'll never forget you,
or your love.
And I'll never forget,
why your up above.
I'll love you always,
but I have to move on.
