Embrace The Light
The wing curls around me.Its frosty cold fingers seep through.
I tremble.
I try to think of the day where I had a comfortable embrace.
Except now all I see is me, me all alone in this immense place, almost starving to death.
No one can see my pain; no one can see my suffering.
All alone in this huge place where there is no one.
I question what went wrong that day.
Why did you have to drink so much?
Drink
Fire
Run
Why didn’t I sprint to town?
Why isn’t anyone looking for me?
Now I sit here cold and thinking.
I am so freezing, so hungry that I notice things.
People
Lights
Friendly hands
Then those hands are embracing me, telling me to hold on, that help was on the way.
But it is too late.
I see the light and I walk into it.
