Subsequently Dreaming

In the rain, you whispered
"Babe, I'm always there."
But after that night I wondered
Will you always care?

If I followed, would you lead?
And if I cried, would you hold me?

Late at night I say your name
Wishing you could hear
Because with you, the world is right
The good things seem so clear.

If I let go, would you see
And if I laughed, would you with me?

In my dreams I see your face
You're holding to me tight
And the wind blows, with you I know
The whole world must be right.

If I angered, would you flee?
And if I died, would you miss me?

If I followed, would you lead?
And if I cried, would you hold me?

Would you cry if I was gone
Would you sing me a love song
Can you promise not to leave
Can you bear to not be free
Will I be yours completely...?
