Used to Be

I used to hide in the shadows
Never to say a word
I walked the halls in a mist
Feeling as though I wasn`t there
I never used to say hello
Even to the people I knew
I was always the good girl
And spoke when spoken to
But now I`m someone different
I say actual words
I have fun and laugh
In a way I am the same me
Only better in many ways
I used to be this person
The one hiding behind the door
But now I`m the one opening it
And ripping it off its hinges
