I’ve been staring at the same picture
For the past few hours
Just taking in all its beauty
And sighing contentedly
I’m so glad I can still
Remember everything
And feel the sun on my legs
Remembering those days

Laughing at the memories
Cryin’ when I should be
And I can’t help but scream
When I think of that moment
Oh this picture reminds me
Of that summer

I can still feel the sun on my shoulders
And the wind softly through my hair
And I feel the adrenaline from running so far
Every time I look at that picture
I can still smell Bath and Body Works
When we were joking around picking out
Your birthday present

I’m laughing at the memories
Cryin’ when I should be
And I can’t help but scream
When I think of that moment
Oh this picture reminds me
Of that summer

The few heartaches I went through that summer
