Sleeping in the Ground
The wind blows,In an evening breeze,
The fall trees,
Shed their leaves.
As they lie,
Upon the ground,
They are not,
The only thing that falls.
Spirits fall,
And hearts break.
Life is no longer sacred,
And hope becomes fake.
We wish and wonder,
Strive to dream,
But in the end,
It tears at the seams.
Things happen,
People die,
And no matter what you do,
In the end,
You'll leave to.
Someday you will be the one,
Killing the hopes,
And breaking the hearts,
Tearing everything apart.
We fear it,
We postpone it,
But what is the point?
In the end,
We are all the same,
And we all leave,
And cause others to grieve.
The wind blows,
In an evening breeze,
As fall trees,
Shed their leaves.
Your coffin lowers,
Into the ground.
I know you'll be sleeping,
Safe and sound.
