Thinking Of You

I can't remember the last time
We were sitting on these steps together
Remember during the summers
We'd spend every afternoon
Running through the fields
Then we'd come back here

We would ride our bikes through the open streets
Laugh out loud among the trees
It was our heaven
But we had to leave
And so many times I find myself reminiscing
About the way it used to b
When we were free
And life was easy

Memory Lane is just two doors away
That's where we spent our childhood
It's odd to somehow know
We may never live back here again
We may never come back home
To the place where we grew up
This IS home

We would ride our bikes through the open streets
Laugh out loud among the trees
It was our heaven
But we had to leave
And so many times I find myself reminiscing
About the way it used to b
When we were free
And life was easy

Every time I look out the window
I think of you
I see your faces everywhere in this town
It's painful to be here
Yet at the same time
It's refreshing, helping me
Clear my mind
I don't care that you've moved
I just gotta let you know
I'm thinking of you

We would ride our bikes through the open streets
Laugh out loud among the trees
It was our heaven
But we had to leave
And so many times I find myself reminiscing
About the way it used to b
When we were free
And life was easy

I can't remeber the last time
We were on these steps together
We're not together now
But I gotta let you know
That I'm thinking of you
