The burning sun,
Shines bright in the sky,
Burning away,
But never reaches me,

I’m stuck in the cold,
Out in the dark,
Unable to escape,
Unable to see,

Trapped inside,
Like a mouse in a cage,
With only my thoughts,
To keep me sane,

How am I,
Supposed to survive,
Without you,
By my side.
